Jersey City, NJ, May 22, 2009 – Nicole Hart and the NRG Band, acclaimed nationally for their swinging blues sound, performed as part of the free lunchtime concert series at the fountain in Journal Square. Hosted by the Journal Square Restoration Corporation (JSRC), and paid for by or in part by the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone Program, the event sponsors include Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy, the Municipal Council and the Division of Cultural Affairs , the Hudson Reporter Newspapers, Midas, Provident Bank and the Jersey City Asian Merchant Association .
JSRC will present free live music in the square every Wednesday and Friday, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm throughout the spring and summer months as part of its ongoing efforts to promote Journal Square as a great place to live, to work, to shop and to dine in Jersey City.
