Iconic Jersey Journal Building Reimagined

-f84fca28231e9684The Jersey Journal is reporting that the building located at 30 Journal Square, which formerly served as the headquarters for the newspaper, still has a bright future ahead of it, based on plans that are due to be adopted by the City Council shortly.

The reimagined building, which will continue to be adorned with its iconic “Jersey Journal” sign, will be transformed into a commercial/retail space that includes a pedestrian walkway, a 1,400 square-foot public space at the rear of the property and a modern residential tower at the corner of Enos Place and Newkirk Street. The tower could go as high as 60 floors or beyond, based on updated zoning that would not impose a height restriction.
